Stylish room with a funky design, and lovely view across the city and Firth of Forth in the distance. The house itself is elegant and pleasant to be in - it has a happy feel. Breakfast was very freshly cooked, and served by a lovely friendly girl - really good! We were able to borrow umbrellas to cope with the rain, and were given excellent directions and advice with buses from the airport and around Edinburgh. The Bruntsfield area is very nice - plenty of buses, local shops and cafes etc.
A plug and a mirror closer to the dressing table would have been nice. But that's only a minor gripe.

Loved Albyn Townhouse! Very stylish and comfortable with a French touch. Fabulous breakfast. David and Lydie (the French half of the partnership) were so hospitable - turning up extra late due to flight delays didn't phase Lydie at all. Definitely stay there again.

The owners were friendly and tried their best to accommodate our wishes. Place was quiet, and the other guests were also quiet. Rooms were of a reasonable size. Breakfast was plentiful. No fresh fruits on the first day, but they were quick on the uptake and for the rest of our five day stay, we had fresh fruit on the breakfast table.Well done. Staff were equally friendly and pleasant. There are buses which run straight into the city from Albyn. If there are more than 3 of you, it actually works out to be about the same price to take a taxi. Many restaurants within walking distance,

Very very friendly, impeccably clean. Very comfortable. Both cheaper and nicer than any of the hotels. Free parking (request in advance). Pleasant 15minute walk into town. Wouldn;t stay anywhere else in Edinburgh.

First of all Lidye and David are two wonderful person: nice, kind, warm, elegant and all these characteristics are reflected in hospitality and house atmosphere. The townhouse is cleaned, well designed room, excellent breakfast, very quite area perfect for long walks to reach the centre of the town and...what else....a perfect birthday gift for my husband. We will recommend this accomodation to all of those that wanna plan a visit in Edinburgh. Thanks Lidye and David. Letizia & Alessandro, Pisa, Italy

The albyn townhouse is totally amazing! The location is quiet but super close to cute cafes n shops. Our superior suite was just like a fairytale, with a comfy big bed and the shower was nice with good eco-friendly stuff. Breakfast was more than enough n the staff, especially lydie, are so friendly n helpful.
Honestly, can't think of much. Only wish the showers were a bit bigger, and the faucets were a little tricky.
